The Bank's Activities in the Community

The Bank of Sierra Leone has a policy of maintaining a close relationship with the public. Working through our charity the Bank helps communities acquire productive capacities.

 

Rogbamgba Pipe Borne Water Project

Bank of Sierra Leone funded through its 'Good Causes' budget a pipe borne water project for the people of Rogbamgba, a small Fishing village 15 miles east of Freetown the Capital , in the outskirts of Hastings.

On completion of the project over 200 people within and outside Rogbamgba have benefited from clean drinking water.

 

The Bank's Management Team Visits Bumbuna Hydro Electric Dam

In March 2007, Governor James D. Rogers led the Management of the Bank of sierra Leone on a visit to the Bumbuna Hydro Electric Dam, under construction in Bumbuna, about 110 miles North of Freetown

The Management of the Bank of Sierra Leone, led by the Governor Dr James D. Rogers, on a conducted tour of the Bubuna hydro electric dam construction site, in Bubuna.

 

On completion, the Dam is expected to generate electricity for the whole country.
