Bank of Sierra Leone Charity Fund

In 2004, the Bank Of sierra Leone Charity Trust Fund was inagurated, to serve as the main vehicle through which funds are channelled to support Education.

The Fund is an autonomous entity established by a Trust Deed with its own Board of Trustees and Secretariat

The charity's main thrust has been to support deserving Educational institutions and individuals. The objective is to promote and motivate excellent performance in education.

With funds provided by the Bank of Sierra Leone, De La Rue, and commercial banks in the country, the Charity Trust Fund has been granting scholarship awards since 2005.

 

2006 AWARDS

John Kamara, had the best result in the male category in the West Africa School Certificate Exams in 2006.

He is now a student at the College Of Medicine And Allied Health Sciences, University of Sierra Leone, studying Medicine.

He was awarded full scholarship for the duration of his course.

Josephine Mansaray had the best result in the female category in the west Africa School Certificate Exams of 2006.

She is now a student at the Fourah Bay College studying Economics.

She was awarded full scholarship for the duration of her course.

 

2005 AWARDS

Abu Alhaji Komeh, had the best West Africa School Certificate Exams result in the country in 2005.

He is now a student at the Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone, studying Economics

He was awarded full scholarship for the duration of his course.

Mariama Swarray had the best result in the female category in the West Africa school Certificate Exams of 2005.

She is now a student at the Fourah Bay College studying Engineering.

She was awarded full scholarship for the duration of her course.
